Oshay Carter and Chris Barr provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Ribault. The connection went for 51 yards, the longest such play in 3A District 2 this season.
Trinity Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Trojans, 47-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Conquerors.
Trinity Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Carter threw for 206 and six touchdowns and Barr had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Jeffery Holland chipped in 57 yards. Nick Washington helped Trinity Christian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 47 yards.
Trinity Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Conquerors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 634 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Isaiah Ford has 20 catches for 279 yards. Holland leads the league in rushing with 433 yards.
The top two teams in 3A District 2 will face off this week when first place Trinity Christian takes on second place Providence. Last week, Verlon Dorminey's team bested Ribault, while Providence.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Conquerors take on the Stallions. Trinity Christian has allowed 45 points this season, while Providence has given up 153. The Conquerors allowed 0 points last week as they defeated Anthony Flynn's team.
Bobby Raulerson's team moved up to 152 from 196 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league.
