Basketball Recap: Crystal City Takes a Loss

Crystal City lost against Veritas Christian Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Crystal City Hornets were outmatched by the Veritas Christian Academy Eagles and fell 62-12. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Molly Reiter was Crystal City's leading scorer, having posted six points. Maya Hankins held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Crystal City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Crystal City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-0 win against Northwest on the 28th. Veritas Christian Academy has also already played their next contest (against Valley Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
