After flying high against Vanlue on Wednesday, Leipsic came back down to earth. The Vikings fell 8-3 to the Carey Blue Devils on Thursday. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leipsic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Lammers, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Leipsic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Carey, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leipsic will square off against Ada at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carey, they will take on Kenton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
