Volleyball Recap: Lake Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lake Central came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Elkhart Lions by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Alexa Iwema paced Lake Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Iwema got some help from Isabella Steliga and her 14 assists.

Lake Central's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Elkhart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-6.

Lake Central has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Benton Central on the 27th. As for Elkhart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Mishawaka Marian on the 27th.
