Softball Recap: Loveland Comes Up Short

Loveland had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 6-11 to make it four. They came up short against the Rocky Mountain Lobos, falling 13-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 last Friday.

Izabelle Tilton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Norah Patella, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

As for Rocky Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10. Considering they have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Rocky Mountain's side, Ariana Jackson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Kiana Villa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Loveland is set to take on their familiar foe Fort Collins at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain will face off against rival Greeley West at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
