After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gladewater, Troup was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the West Rusk Raiders as the Troup Tigers made off with a 10-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Caden Graves was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Joshua Childress was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Hayden Huml was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Troup lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
