Basketball Recap: Northview Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Tellico Plains

Northview Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 69-53 bruising from the Tellico Plains Bears on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Tellico Plains had a senior duo take command as Rylan Woods posted 25 points and Chadwick Davis put up 21 points. Another player making a difference was Trevor Kibler, who had nine points.

The win got Tellico Plains back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Northview Academy will take on Brooks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tellico Plains, they will challenge Dobyns-Bennett at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday.
