CHESS Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Hillsboro Christian Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Royals 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won three contests in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-8, 25-16.

Scarlett Perkins paced Hillsboro Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Perkins got some help from Alanna Stoltzfus and her 17 assists. Taylor Barber controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the defeat, CHESS Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kate Magoto had 15 digs and one assist.

Hillsboro Christian Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for CHESS Christian, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
