Volleyball Game Preview: Doherty Spartans vs. Rampart Rams

The Doherty Spartans will face off against the Rampart Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Doherty is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Doherty came up short against The Vanguard School and fell 3-1.

Doherty was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made The Vanguard School work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Rampart made easy work of Mesa Ridge on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Rampart won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Doherty's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Rampart, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.
