Football Recap: Northwood-Kensett Takes a Loss

Northwood-Kensett was the 33-20 winner over North Iowa when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison on Friday. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bison since Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Northwood-Kensett and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for North Iowa, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Northwood-Kensett will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop Garrigan at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for North Iowa, they will head out on the road to take on Riceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
