Football Recap: Chatfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Saturday just wasn't the day for Chatfield's offense. They were dealt a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Ralston Valley Mustangs on Saturday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Chargers, who until this contest were averaging 13.57 points allowed.

Jenna Lee threw for 61 yards on eight of 15 attempts. Ellie Buck was her top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

A big part of Ralston Valley's win came down to the chemistry between Kailyn Korkus and her top target Ashlyn Callahan. Korkus threw for 259 yards and five TDs while Callahan gained 199 total yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Korkus racked up 136.8 passer rating, the most she's had since back in August of 2024. Lilli Lombardi was in the mix as well, providing Ralston Valley with two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Chatfield and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Ralston Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Chatfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 32-20 defeat against Arvada West on the 13th. As for Ralston Valley, they have also already played their next game, an 18-16 win against Northfield on the 11th.
