Baseball Recap: Lakeview Victorious

Lakeview got themselves on the board against McKinley on Monday, but McKinley never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Red Dragons. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Red Dragons: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Jacob Shaker's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Lantz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Cash, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lakeview's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for McKinley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Lakeview will have a chance to go back-to-back against McKinley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
