Recap: Burns Broncs vs. Sundance Bulldogs
The Burns Broncs lost against the Sundance Bulldogs on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Burns took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sundance. Burns has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Burns lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brooke Hansen. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Savannah Kirkbride, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sundance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylin Mills, who scored 21 points along with six steals. Lexie Marchant was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Burns' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Sundance, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burns will face off against Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sundance, Sundance and Tongue River will face off at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
