Recap: Grantsville Cowboys vs. Providence Hall Patriots

The Grantsville Cowboys won the last time they faced the Providence Hall Patriots, and things went their way on Friday too. Grantsville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over Providence Hall. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Grantsville.

Grantsville had a senior duo take command as Ethan Powell scored 19 points along with five rebounds and Decker Dzierzon scored 13 points along with five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Powell has scored at least 25% of Grantsville's points. Jaxon Kell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.

Grantsville's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Providence Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grantsville will take on Union at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Union's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. Providence Hall won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wendover at 2:00 p.m. on January 6th. Wendover will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
