Soccer Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Cherokee was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 4-1 to the Highlands Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Highlands this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Highlands, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cherokee is set to face off against their familiar foe Swain County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Highlands will challenge rival Hayesville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
