Soccer Game Preview: Sage Hill vs. La Mirada

The Sage Hill Lightning will face off against the La Mirada Matadores at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Sage Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Coachella Valley get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given the Lightning's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Mighty Arabs are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keila Fukuda was the driving force of Sage Hill's attack as she scored both of Sage Hill's goals, bringing her season total up to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, La Mirada won against Beaumont on Tuesday with one goal and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was La Mirada who was credited with the win.

Sage Hill's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for La Mirada, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
