Volleyball Recap: Chaminade Julienne Catholic Comes Up Short

If Chaminade Julienne Catholic was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Archbishop Alter last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Carroll Patriots on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Chaminade Julienne Catholic actually scored more points across those four sets (103-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 31-29, 10-25, 30-28, 25-21.

Chaminade Julienne Catholic dropped their record down to 8-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Carroll, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Chaminade Julienne Catholic will square off against Fairfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carroll, they will face off against Waynesville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
