Softball Game Preview: Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions vs. Athens Bible Trojans

Madi Tucker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last three games.

On the hitting side, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy let Lydia Carter and Dusti Jo Conn run wild. Carter scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Conn scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. What's more, Carter posted two RBI, the most she's had over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Briley Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Athens Bible's offense. They fell just short of Elkmont by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered against the Red Devils since March 8, 2016.

Athens Bible has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. Lindsay Lane Christian Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4-1.
