Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Now 15-1 over Last 16 Games

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Trinity Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They secured a 56-51 W over New Bern Christian Academy. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-36 last Friday.

Trinity Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenna Overton led the charge by putting up 16 points and eight boards. Those 16 points gave Overton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marlee Little, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
