Cheatham County Central was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Parker Bender did his best to prevent it. Bender was dynamite, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Coming up, Bender and Cheatham County Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Sycamore at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cheatham County Central hasn't beaten Sycamore recently, having gone 0-9 since May of 2019.
