Baseball Recap: Lyons Takes a Loss

Lyons extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They fell 4-1 to the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 on April 3rd.

As for North Rose-Wolcott, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games.

For North Rose-Wolcott's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Crane, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Tommy Mills also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
