Baseball Recap: Harrisonburg Comes Up Short

Harrisonburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the William Monroe Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Wednesday.

Harrisonburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for William Monroe, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisonburg will face off against Spotswood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for William Monroe, they will venture away from home to square off against Broadway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Gobblers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
