Soccer Recap: Jacobs Plays to a Tie

Neither the Jacobs Golden Eagles nor the Round Lake Panthers could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Sam Diaz hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Jacobs' goal came courtesy of Kylie Deegan, which was the first she's scored this season.

With that draw, Jacobs' record moves to 2-1-2. As for Round Lake, they moved theirs to 2-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs will host St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Round Lake, they will welcome Marian Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Round Lake will be up against Marian Catholic's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
