Basketball Recap: Magnolia Heights Takes a Loss

After flying high against Delta Streets Academy last Thursday, Magnolia Heights came back down to earth. The Magnolia Heights Chiefs fell to the Starkville Academy Volunteers 53-48. The loss was the Chiefs' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Magnolia Heights fell to 3-1. As for Starkville Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Magnolia Heights will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arab at 9:00 a.m. on December 27th. As for Starkville Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marshall Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
