Softball Recap: London Falls Short of Highland in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact London can now relate to. They lost 14-2 to the Highland Fighting Scots on Thursday. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Scots earlier this season, when they won 14-13.

London saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lylli Ball, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for London and nudges their season record down to 17-8. As for Highland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-9.

London does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they will square off against Licking Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Fighting Scots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
