Preview: Noblesville Millers vs. Hamilton Southeastern Royals

The Noblesville Millers will play host again and welcome the Hamilton Southeastern Royals, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Noblesville can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Franklin Central at home to the tune of 61-31. Given Noblesville's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Franklin Central is ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Noblesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Baron Walker led the charge by scoring 15 points. Hunter Walston was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals and two blocks.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Southeastern had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They snuck past Mt. Vernon with a 48-44 victory.

Noblesville's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Noblesville was able to grind out a solid win over Hamilton Southeastern in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 49-40. Will Noblesville repeat their success, or does Hamilton Southeastern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
