Basketball Game Preview: Northern Adirondack Bobcats vs. Saranac Spartans

The Northern Adirondack Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Saranac Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a proper cat-fight when Northern Adirondack challenged Northeastern Clinton on Friday. Northern Adirondack received a blow as they fell 66-47 to Northeastern Clinton.

Meanwhile, Saranac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 60-39 to Moriah. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 588th, while the Vikings are ranked 159th).

Northern Adirondack has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Saranac, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Northern Adirondack was able to grind out a solid victory over Saranac in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 57-50. Will Northern Adirondack repeat their success, or does Saranac have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
