Volleyball Recap: Covina Comes Up Short

Covina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Northview Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Northview scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-27, 25-20, 25-20.

Covina's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Northview, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Covina will take on rival Charter Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northview is set to square off against their familiar foe Wilson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
