The Halifax Academy Knights entered their tilt with the University Titans with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Halifax Academy managed a 60-54 win over University on Friday. Given Halifax Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while University is ranked 668th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why University lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dabarius Harrington. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Harrington is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidon Amoah, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Halifax Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for University, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for University, they will challenge Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
