Soccer Recap: Defiance Comes Up Short

Defiance scored first but ultimately less than Otsego in their game on Monday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. Defiance just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Jameson Burriss and Tayden West scored both of Defiance's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Defiance's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Otsego, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Defiance will venture away from home to challenge Ottawa-Glandorf at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give Defiance their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Otsego, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Rossford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Otsego will be up against Rossford's rather soft defense (which has allowed 10.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
