Basketball Recap: Barrack Hebrew Academy Takes a Loss

Barrack Hebrew Academy lost against Shipley back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Barrack Hebrew Academy Cougars lost 67-42 to Shipley. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shipley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Naegle, who went 9 for 16 en route to 21 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Naegle a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Venkat Bayireddi, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points and six boards.

Barrack Hebrew Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Shipley, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-16.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Barrack Hebrew Academy Cougars take on the Martin Luther Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shipley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
