Recap: Brookville Bees vs. Jefferson Forest Cavaliers
The Brookville Bees's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Jefferson Forest 74-41. While losing is never fun, Brookville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Jefferson Forest is ranked 95th).
Brookville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tristan Harbour, who scored ten points. Dominic Collison was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Brookville has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Jefferson Forest, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookville will take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson Forest, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Jefferson Forest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three games.
