Bartram Trail lost to Fleming Island back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Bears came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Rommeney Patrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andi Gooch, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Sophia Dumadag was another key player, earning two runs and three stolen bases.

Bartram Trail hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Bartram Trail's record is now 7-5. As for Fleming Island, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bartram Trail will take on Bradford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fleming Island, they will challenge Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
