Baseball Recap: Junipero Serra Extends Winning Streak to Four

Junipero Serra barely beat Pleasant Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Padres put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-4 victory on Monday. With that win, the Padres brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Nate Hui was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Bradshaw, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Junipero Serra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Grove only posted a batting average of .323.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Junipero Serra, bringing their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Grove, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-7.

Junipero Serra wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Rocklin on the 14th. As for Pleasant Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-0 victory against College Park on the 14th.
