Keagan Statler Turns in Season-Best Performance
Keagan Statler produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Highland to the win on Friday. Statler rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making two total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Statler is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Westside on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Statler saw the Warriors), he rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards and a touchdown.

He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
The victory for Southside keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. McLaughlin and Southside will face off against Trumann at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Postell Jr Made His Presence Known in Trumann's 26-20 Defeat
Tony Postell Jr posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 228 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards.
Trumann is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. Postell Jr and Trumann are taking a road trip to square off against Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
