Beau Blackwell put up the most hits he's had since back in April of 2024 on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. He is becoming a predictor of Woods Cross's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

Blackwell's strong effort led Woods Cross over Northridge and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are 9-1 against the Knights going back to April of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
