Soccer Recap: Arlington Heights Comes Up Short

If Arlington Heights was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Polytechnic last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Arlington Heights Yellowjackets fell just short of the South Hills Scorpions by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Yellowjackets couldn't quite close it out.

Arlington Heights' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-9. As for South Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Arlington Heights will welcome Trimble Tech at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Trimble Tech's last seven games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for South Hills, they will head out to square off against Wyatt at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyatt will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something South Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
