Basketball Game Preview: Malad Dragons vs. Declo Hornets

The Malad Dragons will face off against the Declo Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Malad has 18 straight victories, Declo has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Malad was fully in charge, breezing past West Side 55-19. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Declo lost to Soda Springs at home by a 49-34 margin on Thursday.

Malad pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.6 points. As for Declo, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Everything came up roses for Malad against Declo when the teams last played on January 8th, as the team secured a 53-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Malad since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
