Baseball Recap: South Eugene Takes a Loss

South Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Sheldon Irish. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in April.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Sheldon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10-1 record this season.

While South Eugene had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
