Softball Recap: Indian Springs Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Indian Springs's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Beaver Dam Diamondback with a sharp 21-10 victory. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbirds this season.

Acelynn Flanigan was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing nine bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those nine stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shayne Dedmon, who scored two runs and stole seven bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Indian Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .738. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Indian Springs' win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Beaver Dam, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Indian Springs beat the Diamondback by a score of 15-2 later that day.
