Basketball Recap: Walkersville's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Walkersville had won two straight games and Addison Boram did her part to make it three on Friday. The Walkersville Lions claimed a resounding 67-25 win over the Boonsboro Warriors thanks to Boram, who went 8-for-16 on her way to 20 points and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of Walkersville's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is 5-1 (and 4-7 when she doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Aayana Teasley, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Walkersville now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Boonsboro, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Walkersville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-43 loss against Williamsport on the 13th. As for Boonsboro, they have also already played their next contest, a 51-16 defeat against Catoctin on the 10th.
