Basketball Game Preview: Gull Lake Blue Devils vs. St. Joseph Bears

Gull Lake is on a five-game streak of home losses, and St. Joseph a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Gull Lake Blue Devils just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the St. Joseph Bears at 7:00 p.m. Gull Lake has given up an average of 60.4 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gull Lake came up short against Portage Northern on Monday, falling 66-45. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 445th, while the Huskies are ranked 140th).

Meanwhile, St. Joseph was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 73-67 to Lakeview.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Gull Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Gull Lake didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against St. Joseph when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
