Recap: Weldon Valley Warriors vs. Moffat Cowboys
The Weldon Valley Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 49-27 margin over Moffat. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Weldon Valley has managed all season.
Annie Onufrak was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Onufrak is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Koch, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Weldon Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Moffat, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weldon Valley will take on Caliche at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caliche will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Moffat is on the road again on Friday and play against Antonito at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. Antonito comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
