Volleyball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Page on Wednesday, Franklin came back down to earth. The Admirals fell 3-1 to the Nolensville Knights on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Admirals in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Franklin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Franklin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maggie Myhr had 27 digs and six assists. With that strong performance, Myhr is now averaging an impressive 11.2 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Groene, who had ten digs.

Franklin's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Nolensville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Franklin and Nolensville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Admirals will square off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (5 vs. 27). Meanwhile, Nolensville (ranked seventh) will meet Page (ranked 47th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
