Basketball Game Preview: West-Oak Warriors vs. Belton-Honea Path Bears

West-Oak is 8-2 against Belton-Honea Path since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The West-Oak Warriors will host the Belton-Honea Path Bears at 6:00 p.m. West-Oak is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.

Despite the defeat, West-Oak got top-tier performance from Reagan Mobley, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Mobley a new career-high in rebounds. Emma Simpson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, West-Oak smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path took a blow against Walhalla on Tuesday, falling 79-18. The Bears have struggled against the Razorbacks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

West-Oak's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Belton-Honea Path, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Everything came up roses for West-Oak against Belton-Honea Path when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 73-27 win. In that game, West-Oak amassed a halftime lead of 39-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
