Forest is 9-0-1 against North Marion since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Forest Wildcats will look to defend their home pitch against the North Marion Colts at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Forest is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering The Villages Charter just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Buffalo. One reason for the loss might be the Wildcats' aggressive play style: Mason Lamb and Jack Belcher were both handed yellow cards.

Forest's goal came courtesy of Aidan Curtis, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, North Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Keystone Heights, falling 9-1. The Colts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

North Marion's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 0-1-2 and their overall record down to 3-12-3. As for Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

Everything went Forest's way against North Marion in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Forest made off with a 6-1 win. Will Forest repeat their success, or does North Marion have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
