While Kinder's win against Jennings wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Kinder Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Jennings Bulldogs on Saturday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Brianna Fontenot was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Fontenot was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Caegen Manuel was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Kinder hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jennings struck out eight times.

Kinder now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jennings, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.

Kinder will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Louis Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on March 11th. As for Jennings, they will venture away from home to face off against Merryville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jennings is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
