Softball Game Preview: East Jackson Trojans vs. Napoleon Pirates

East Jackson is 0-6 against Napoleon since June of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans will head out to face off against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. East Jackson has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Jackson is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Jonesville, falling 16-6.

Khloee Gettings made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Napoleon suffered their closest loss since April 26th on Wednesday. They fell just short of Lumen Christi Catholic by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

Napoleon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Hamlin, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

East Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Napoleon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

East Jackson suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Napoleon in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
