Softball Preview: Lindale Eagles vs. Grand Saline Indians        
        
		
            
 The Lindale Eagles will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Grand Saline Indians at 6:00  p.m. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Lindale is headed into the  match fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They never let Chapel Hill onto the board and left with  a   16-0  victory  on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
  Dylan Adams looked comfortable as she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Izzy Koonce was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Alyssa Potts, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Grand Saline entered their tilt with Edgewood with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Bulldogs  4-3.
 Lindale is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-12-1 record  this season. As for Grand Saline, their victory bumped their record up to 20-10-1.
 Lindale came out on top in a nail-biter against Grand Saline  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2016, sneaking past  3-2. Does  Lindale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grand Saline turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
