Recap: Myrtle Hawks vs. Falkner Eagles
The Myrtle Hawks lost against the Falkner Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between Myrtle and Falkner wasn't particularly close, with Myrtle falling 66-48. Myrtle has struggled against Falkner recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Elijah Mauney was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Falkner. Mauney hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Gavin Wooley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Myrtle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 19 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-27 record this season. As for Falkner, their victory bumped their record up to 11-17.
Myrtle will head out on the road to take on West Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Union has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 2,118 points over their last 29 matchups. Falkner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
